Word 16 I Stand Alone

Word 16 I Stand Alone

I stand alone
Beside me everyone
Tears, they don't fall for me
I stand alone

Memories are sorrow
Life's Demons in my mind
Glimpses of tomorrow
Dreams torn and difficult to find

I stand alone
Everyone is my friend
Hands, they are not there for me
I stand alone

Heart of glass
Creatures seething in the mourn
Trumpets muted brass
Capture souls in Tempest born

I stand alone
Friend of no other
Compassion, escapes all for me
I stand alone

Mirror thy image
Cascading down through the years
Escape the lineage
Drowning sounds shrouding unwanted fears

I stand alone
Others damage done
Rescue, Saving is not for me
I stand alone

Break free damnation
Chastise is essence forced wings
Rise inner sensation
I am more than these things

I stand alone
Done with you
Choose, take what is not for me
I stand alone

Strength and grace
Struggle in silence of change
Pride within place
Standing tall while making range

I stand alone
The last removed
Deception, take yours away it is not for me
I stand alone

Free to transcend
Manifesting a new breaking dawn
My hearts mend
Creating anew with all forgone

I stand alone
Or do I
Freedom, A gift I give to me
I stand...

New journeys edge
Walk beside or in distance
You're traveling ledge
Trained I am now, resistance

I stand...
Will you chance
Knowledge, freely given from me
I stand...

Light of new
Learn from damages to me
Hope in dew
Fall no more, I see

I stand...
Will you walk
Friendship, truthfully given to me
I stand...

I wait .....

Word 15 Family

Word 15:  Family

Family to me is unconventional
Family to me is love,
 compassion and caring
There to hold me up when I fall
Here to celebrate triumps
Stand by my side
Through everything and it all
Given to me
I give in return
It doesn't matter
Age
Color
Gender
Sexuality
Culture
or
Creed
Unconventional
Doesn't feel right for a word
I will choose
My expanded family
Those I hold dear
Over anything on paper
Except for Five
My mother, My brother
My husband
My daughter and My son
I will choose
My expanded family
Those I hold dear
Over your prejudice, hatred and fear
Every home has two doors
Just like my heart
Those of Love
Come through the front door
Those that don't fit
Are kicked out the rear
Family to me
Is the rest of you!

Word 14: Shadow of the mountain

Word 14:  Shadow of the mountain

Under the shadow of the mountain
Passed the forest rolling hills
Down the river's glen
To the prarie's waving fields.

The warrior stands in all his glory
Singing prasies of victories won
Song of great battles
An for honored souls gone.

The widows in the camp
Cry out for their lost loves
Holding the little children
Who do not understand.

Lives lost forever
Under the shadow of the mountain
Shadow cast not by sun or form
Shadow in their lives by Blood stained ground.
